On Thursday, the Driffield Sports Partnership ran their annual Dodgeball Extravaganza at Driffield Leisure Centre.

Fourteen (yes, fourteen) teams entered the event, with over 100 excited children and a similar amount of parents, grandparents, siblings and teachers supporting their schools. After 24 high intense games, where the spectators were often in more danger of getting hit than the children, Hutton Cranswick PS and Driffield Junior School emerged top of their groups.

However, the intrusion of some expectant Badminton players stopped a Final and Mr Inns had to award the trophy to both teams, with Hutton Cranswick taking the trophy for the first six months.

A big thank you to all the spectators and the teachers who gave up their time to make it happen. Sport is such a rewarding outlet for many children.  It was great to see so many children enjoying themselves and getting fit.

Our next event is our annual Swimming Gala in a few weeks on Wednesday 5th February.  It would be good to see some new faces there as well as the regulars!
