Driffield travelled to South Hunsley on Wednesday night for the Humberside Football Schools under 11 7-a-side tournament to face the best teams in Hull, East Riding and North Lincolnshire.
Driffield were placed in League A with Wybers, Wold and Snaith. Driffield kicked things off against Wybers in a closely contested game. Both teams had chances, but Driffield found the back of the net sealing the final score at 1-0.
In our second game against Snaith, both teams were unlucky not to score, despite some great passing and team work. The game finished 0-0.
We needed a victory in the 3rd game in order to continue through to the semi final. Despite some great pushing for the goal, we were unlucky to concede against a very strong team. The whistle blew at 0-1.
All the players showed amazing teamwork, sportsmanship and were a credit to their school. An amazing achievement to even get this far.
